    A: Donations are welcome from Individuals, Business entities and Not-for-profit organizations.

  • Q: How can I donate as an individual citizen of India?
    A: You can make a donation through Cash, Account Payee Cheque or Demand Draft, Bank Transfer, and Digital Transfer.

  • Q: Are donations to We Care eligible for tax credits?
    A: Yes, donations to We Care are eligible for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, subject to the conditions specified in the Act.

  • Q: What are the bank account details for making a donation?
    A: To receive our bank account details, please contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you!

2. Documentation

  • Q: What documents are needed to support a donation from an Indian citizen?
    A: To support your donation, provide donation details, personal information (Name, Address, PAN, Aadhaar, Nationality), and a donation letter stating the purpose. If residing abroad, include a copy of a valid Indian passport. Additional documents may be required as per regulations.

    A: Provide donation details, a letter stating the purpose, and personal or entity information (Name, Address, Contact Details, Nationality). Additional documents may be needed as per regulations.

  • Q: Does We Care have authorized agents to collect donations?
    A: No, We Care does not have any authorized agents to collect donations.

  • Q: Does We Care accept donations in kind?
    A: Yes, We Care accepts donations in kind. For more information or to discuss the types of contributions we accept, please contact us.

4. Memorial Funds

  • Q: What is a memorial / corpus fund?
    A: It is a fund you create in We Care to preserve the memory of someone or an event. You can create it in your own name or that of a loved one, such as a family member or friend. You can create a memorial fund to mark mark an important occasion like a birthday, wedding, death of a loved one or anniversaries, or you may simply create a memorial fund to support causes such as education, care of orphans, welfare of the girl-child, empowerment of women, care of disabled, care of the sick, etc.

  • Q: What is the difference between a memorial fund and a corpus fund?
    A: A memorial fund is to preserve the memory on an individual or occasion. A corpus fund is to sponsor a particular cause.

  • Q: How does a memorial fund become meaningful to me?
    A: Many people wish to have their names or the names of their family preserved in history or would like to mark important occasions in their lives or would like to support a particular cause. In order to do this it would be necessary to go through the long-winding and tiresome procedure of creating a Trust. At We Care, we have made it possible for anyone to create a fund without having to go through the entire legal process of forming a legal entity.

  • Q: Can I make further contributions and donations to this fund?
    A: Yes. You can make further contributions and donations to this fund. Members of your family and those who are interested in the similar person, occasion or cause can also make donations to this fund. You can also bequeath by way of will a contribution to this fund.

  • Q: Will this fund get closed in the future?
    A: No. We normally invest the proceeds of these funds in permissible modes and utilize the interest earned thereon for carrying on the intentions of the donor and various charitable activities.

  • Q: What is the minimum amount required to create a memorial or corpus fund?
    A: The minimum amount is INR 1,00,000/- (Indian Rupees One lakh only). The amount can be contributed in one or two installments.

  • Q: What is the maximum amount that one can contribute towards the memorial or corpus fund?
    A: There is no maximum amount that can be accumulated in any fund.

  • Q: Can a foreign citizen also create such funds?
    A: Yes. A foreign citizen can also create such funds.

  • Q: Can the amount once donated be refunded back to the donor?
    A: No. Once the donation has been accepted by We Care, it cannot be refunded back to the donor.

  • Q: Have people created such funds in We Care?
    A: Yes. We have a full list of funds created by people and We Care over the years with details of the name, year and intention of the fund.
